Frequently Asked Questions
While navigating the map you will see different color dots. Each dot signifies a location where OEM providers practice today. The different colors of the dots determine whether or not the employer at this site is hiring, networking or inactive. The green dot with the plus means this site is advertising open jobs. The green dot indicates an employer who is open to connecting with providers but may not have open positions. The gray dot signifies an employer that is within the field of occupational medicine but may or may not be hiring. Click the "Help Me Connect" button on these sites to connect with an OEM Explore representative, and we'll help you connect with employers that have gray dots.
On OEM Explore, every site that has or is looking for an occupational medicine provider is located on the map. To find specific locations or sites, use the filter in the header and select ‘Hiring’. Hiring sites are locations that are actively looking for an OEM provider and will have jobs posted on their site profile.
Filters are a great way to narrow down job search criteria. On OEM Explore, there are 3 ways to filter:
Site Status Filter
Hiring: the site is has active job postings and is actively looking for an OEM provider
Networking: the site may not have an active job position, but is looking to connect and build relationships, to fill positions as they arise
Inactive: unknown if the site is actively hiring or not, but members can still inquire about the location
This list includes all OEM specific specialties so you can narrow your search by site facilities that hire for that type of provider. The map will update automatically based on your selection.
Practice Setting Filter
By selecting a practice setting the map will update to only include the facilities that match your selection.

Not only do we have every OEM facility on the map we also provide data to show what living and working in your desired location would look like.
Personal Interest layers will let you get a sense of home prices, commute times, crime and a satellite view of the area. There is also the ability to apply layers on Employees by Industry which allows you to see where people work within specific industries. For example agriculture, armed forces and art & entertainment. As you apply different layers, the legend will highlight the range of density, population, price etc. To understand the scale of each layer, click on the legend I bubble to see how density is determined.
Every site allows you to connect with an employer.
